Meet Lydia, Kyla, the two budding entrepreneurs behind True Blue, and their mentor and business teacher, Ashley Johnson.
Lydia and Kyla noticed a lack of awareness of diabetes in their classrooms and responded by creating a social enterprise, True Blue. Together they go into classrooms and engage youth in learning about diabetes. They’ve also participated in youth entrepreneurship summits and competitions!
Progress Update
With a One World grant, Lydia and Kyla were able to print 100 copies of Ava’s Adventures, a children’s book they will use to educate youth about diabetes and sell to support their business and work.
